Your Life Is Worth Writing. Let's Write It Together.
Personal coaching for women in the second half of life who have stories to tell, and need a warm, steady guide to help them shape those stories into pages that matter.
20-minute conversation. No pressure. Just a place to begin.
You Have the Stories. You Just Need a Guide.
You've lived a full life. You've noticed the moments other people miss. But every time you sit down to write, something stops you.
You don't know where to start.
Your memories arrive out of order. You wonder which ones belong on the page and which ones to leave in the drawer.
You worry about telling the truth.
You want to write honestly, but you also want to protect the people you love. That tension keeps many pages unwritten.
You feel alone with the work.
Writing in isolation is heavy. Without a warm reader and a steady process, it's easy to lose momentum and doubt your voice.
YOUR COACH
Meet Michael Williams, Ph.D.
Hello, I'm Michael. I coach thoughtful people in midlife and beyond as they shape lived experience into memoir and legacy.
I hold a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and an Advanced Diploma in Local History from Oxford. I trained with the Birren Center as a Guided Autobiography instructor and with Before I Go Solutions as an End-of-Life Planning Facilitator.
You bring your stories. I bring craft, compassion, and a process that makes it easy to begin, and possible to finish.
What Happens Inside a 1:1 Session
Fifty minutes on Zoom. Warm, personal, focused on your pages and your questions.
A Clear Plan
You'll leave with a roadmap for your memoir. Together we identify the moments that matter, choose a focus, and organize your scenes.
Authentic Voice
Your writing will sound like you. We'll work on honesty, warmth, and confidence on the page, with gentle feedback on craft.
Writing Prompts That Unlock Memory
We work in short scenes, two pages at a time. You'll take home prompts chosen for your story, so the next session comes easily.
A Safe Place for Hard Chapters
My counselling background helps you meet difficult memories with care. You choose what to include, what to protect, what to keep private.

"Writing memoir has surprised me. I thought I'd have to write about the trauma that looms large. What I have uncovered instead is joy. Such a sweet surprise!"

Single Session
$150
One 50-minute Zoom session, focused on your writing and your questions.
Yes. Most of the women I coach are writing for the first time. You don't need training. You need a warm guide and a simple process. We start with short scenes, two pages at a time.
What if my story feels too private, or too painful?
You choose what goes on the page. My counselling background helps me hold space for difficult memories without pushing. Some pages are for the world. Some are for you alone. Both matter.
Do I have to want to publish?
Not at all. Many of my clients write for the therapeutic value, or to leave a legacy for family. Others do work toward self-publishing or seeking an agent. Your goal shapes our sessions.
How do sessions work?
We meet on Zoom for fifty minutes. You bring pages, or a memory, or a question. I bring prompts, feedback, and a plan for what to write next. You leave with clarity and a piece of writing worth returning to.
